Wait for Elevate Fiber Internet Is over for Southeast Delta

Elevate's fiber network construction is complete, and gigabit speed internet is available in the first of 11 new rural areas, part of the long-anticipated Reconnect II grant program.

Monday, May 15, 2023 – Elevate Internet announced last week that residents southeast of Delta near Garnet Mesa can now connect to its ultra-fast gigabit speed internet. This newly added footprint includes approximately 150 homes and is part of a $10.5 million grant project called Reconnect 2. Awarded by the Rural Utilities Services in August 2021 to bring fiber to the rural territory surrounding Delta and Olathe, local residents have much anticipated the Reconnect grant.

This area is just the first of more than 2,400 homes and ranches that Elevate will connect in the coming months," said Jack Johnston, DMEA/Elevate Chief Executive Officer.

With the Reconnect 2 grant, Elevate will build approximately 261 miles of new fiber optic cable, bringing world-class internet to 2,410 homes, three educational institutions, 89 businesses, and 115 farms.
